Jennifer Woods is a community of 18 homes located in the northeastern part of Charles County, Maryland off Route 228. Built in 2001 and 2002 by R&R Developers and Sheffield Homes, the community is nestled in the woods off Chesnut Drive. Jennifer Woods offers easy access to Route 301 (Crain Highway) and Route 210 (Indian Head Highway), which lead to the I-95 Beltway and surrounding areas of Northern Virginia, Washington, DC, and suburban Maryland. Shopping, schools, daycare centers, and churches are all within walking distance or a short drive. School-age children are enrolled in Daniel of St. Thomas Jenifer Elementary School (K-5), Mattawoman Middle School (Grade 6-8), and Westpoint High School (Grades 9-12). More information about these schools is available here.
The original homeowners settled between May 2001 and August 2002. The community consists of a variety of colonial style homes, ranging from approximately 1900 to 3000 square feet, each on about 1/3 acre of land. The development was turned over to the homeowners in September 2002 and is governed by an active homeowners’ association.
